live tile needs to 1) work 2) be customizable
Nest Manager allows you to control your Nest devices from your Windows PC or tablet. Nest is the best-known self-learning programmable thermostat that you can control via your smart device. When the Nest thermostat (owned by Nest Labs, by the way) was introduced in 2011, it was an instant hit. Today, the company that started in 2010 has boomed into a bona fide big boy in the home automation market.

Nest App For Windows Desktop

Finally! Like the other guy said, just like the Android app. If you can have a live tile function, that would make it super killer! Overall, I'm happy that this app is available instead of using firing up my browser.

Nest Desktop Application
Pros: *I like that it gives you a timeline. *I like that it shows more important events in red, and other less important events in grey. *I like that you can draw out a zone in the field of view where it will notify you if there's activity there. Cons: *Trying to go back and look at videos in timeline view is like pulling teeth. I roll my cursor over a dot on the timeline, and a small preview of the video is supposed to appear. But the preview frequently just pops up for a split second and then disappears before I can see what's in it. *It also takes a long time for the video to load if I actually click on one of the dots to view it. Overall, I love the cameras I got, and the software is pretty good, but it's just a little on the slow side.
