The Dungeon Locator is an item which resembles a Compass in vanilla Minecraft, but with a yellow needle instead of red. It is obtainable only in Creative Mode or using cheats (/give command or JEI). It is useful for pointing the way to dungeons. Of course dungeon ques are going to be super long for some expansions over others, especially when a lot of players are choosing expansions based off the amount of leveling time. ESO FAQ >> How Does The Group Finder Work

In ESO, the Group Finder helps you find a group, or members for your existing group. In the Group screen you can select Group Tools to start a search. You will need to know what activity your group should complete. The most common example of using the Group Finder is for finding people to run Group Dungeons with.

You should first set your desired role in the Group Finder interface. This lets the tool know whether you want to be a damage dealer, tank or healer and helps form balanced groups. You can then set the activity that you want to complete, so for example Veteran Spindleclutch Dungeon, and begin your search. The Group Finder looks at other players searching for a group and pools you together automatically.

You should note that all Group Finder groups which are doing Group Dungeons will have everything scaled to Veteran Rank 16. The enemies will be VR 16 and your stats will scale up to average VR 16 stats. This is part of the Battle Level system. This is to allow a larger pool of players from which to search. The Group Finder will also search through players from opposing Alliances and group you together, again to create a larger pool of potential players.

The Group Finder works best at peak times because there are more players looking for a group. It also works best when the activity is quite popular, for example the current non-Vet or Veteran Pledge.

As of Update 9 (March 2016), you can also choose to do a random Group Dungeon and this will reward you with a bunch of XP and a reward container which might contain valuable items.

Group Finder

There are some flaws with the Group Finder system. The number of players looking for a group will obviously have an impact on the speed at which the Group Finder can form viable groups. Also, players might find that, in situations where there are less players searching for a group, the final group will consist of a wide range of levels.

Quick Start

To use dungeon finder, enter your world seed in the text box at the top and click 'Find Dungeons!'. Afterwards, you can use the map below to find chunks that contain dungeons:

  • Multiple Spawners in chunk
  • Zombie Spawner
  • Skeleton Spawner
  • Spider Spawner

To get the exact coordinates:

  • mouse input: hover over a chunk or double click
  • touch input: tap or long press on a chunk

Then, the coordinates will be displayed below the map.

How accurate is it?

Finder

The finder is not 100% accurate. Some of the locations may not be actual dungeons in-game, and some in-game dungeons may be missing. My goal is that the finder is accurate enough to be useful and not be frustrating to use.

If you find multiple locations to be wrong, try again in a distant location. If that doesn't help, let me know in the comments. Also post your world seed, the locations you checked and your Minecraft version.

Requirements

Seed

Wow Wotlk Dungeon Levels

For technical reasons, you need to know the seed of your world to use Dungeon Finder, unless, of course, you want to find a seed for a new world. If you're playing SSP, the app is able to fetch the seed from your savegame. Alternatively, you can use the /seed command ingame. In SMP, you can use the same command if you have sufficient rights. Otherwise, however, you're dependent on the server owner, who started the world and has access to the savegame and config files.

Technical

This app uses some relatively new web technologies. As a result, some features may be disabled for older browsers. I recommend using the latest version of a major browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari.

Usage

Seed Selection

Dungeon Finder Wow Classic

The first thing you should do is select a seed and version. You can either type it in manually, or you can load it from your savegame. The latter can be done by clicking on 'Load from Save...' and selecting your level.dat, or by drag&dropping the level.dat file into your browser window. Level.dat is a small file located in the folder of every Minecraft savegame. You can find the savegames in the saves folder of your Minecraft installation. On Windows you can use %appdata%.minecraftsaves to get to that folder.

Levels allow you to store and reuse seeds on this website, without having to load your savegame every time. When loading a seed from a level, the seed will automatically be stored as a level.

You should also know that a seed is always a number (up to around 20 digits). If you type in anything else (like letters), it will be converted to a number. The app does this the same way Minecraft does, so it's safe to use letters (and other characters) as well.

Navigation

Once you entered your seed and version you can start using the map. To scroll, use your arrow keys while your mouse cursor points at the map, or move your mouse while holding down the left mouse button. You can use the slider below the map or your mousewheel for zooming. The lower inputs allow you to go to a specific point (e.g., your base) of the map and set a marker there. You can always remove and add the marker by double clicking on the map. The 'Save Map' button allows you to save the currently shown map as png image file.

Dungeon Finder Not Working Wow

When using a touch-enabled device, an extra option for enabling/disabling touchscreen control will appear below the map. With that option enabled, you can drag the map with your finger to navigate, you can pinch to zoom in and out, and you can tap and hold to set a marker on the map. By double tapping on the map, you can quickly enable/disable the functionality as well.
